my process
I designed the following invitation for an event hosted by one of my on-campus jobs. The event was held last Spring and the invitations were distributed virtually and printed.
Although this was a formal event hosted by Elon University, I didn't want to use the standard maroon and gold color scheme like most of their programming is. I decided to use a navy that reflected the colors of the event setting and adding flowers to the design to make it more spring focused. I hand drew the flowers and scanned them into Adobe Illustrator which allowed me to manipulate the color of the flowers.
